If you are involved in an auto accident, try to remain calm, move to a safe location if your car is a safety hazard, do not leave the scene of the accident, call the police and do as they ask you to. After doing the above contact your insurance company and inform them about the event, make sure to give them a clear description of what happened. Write down the name of the person you communicated to, the date and time you made the claim.
